Spring Forest Amulet (2024)
I am the Spring Forest Amulet.
I hold a landscape inside me, a quiet green world that continues to grow. Moss agate forms my center, filled with depth and shifting terrain.
I am built in layers of wool and wire, each strand placed with intention. Serpentine rests at my sides, guiding movement with steadiness.
I am worn close to the body, where breath and thought meet. I carry renewal, grounded growth, and the slow return of life after stillness.
Description from the Artist
I created Spring Forest Amulet by building around a moss agate center stone that felt like a living landscape. The inclusions inside the stone suggested growth and movement, so I chose materials that could support that energy.
I crocheted the structure using hand dyed wool, allowing color to move through greens, purples, and blues in an organic way. The wool forms a soft field around the stone. Over that, I crocheted wire to create a structured setting that holds everything in place.
Serpentine beads were added at the top to anchor the piece and bring in a sense of transformation and flow. The amulet is finished with a crocheted hemp cord, keeping the entire piece grounded in natural materials.
This is a one of one wearable amulet. It will not be recreated.
