I created Purple Tornado in 2023 using twenty-five different yarns spiraled around a sculptural form. Freeform crochet does not follow a repeating pattern. Each stitch responds to texture, tension, and direction as the piece evolves.

The spiral construction creates strength and movement while building dimensional surface texture. The layered fibers produce warmth, visual rhythm, and sculptural depth.

This piece fully covers the ears and is designed for both warmth and artistic expression. It is wearable fiber sculpture shaped by motion and guided by instinct.
