Focal Point (2024)

$68.00

I am a circle built to hold focus.

My center carries a green stone, grounded and steady. On either side, jasper anchors me in earth and time.

I am constructed from wool, cord, and fiber, held together through tension and intention. My form draws the eye inward, asking for stillness and attention.

I rest over the heart and speak to the space between instinct and awareness.

Description from the Artist

I created this piece as part of my Third Eye Series in 2024.

The two inch circular form is built with freeform crochet using wool and nylon cord. The structure is layered in color, pulling the eye inward toward the center point.

At the center sits a green stone bead, flanked by two jasper beads. The arrangement creates a horizontal line across the circle, grounding the composition.

The necklace cord is macrame hemp, hand tied without additional beads. A knotted drop extends below the pendant, adding movement and weight.

This piece is about focus. It is about bringing awareness to a single point and holding it there.

Materials

  • Freeform crochet wool

  • Nylon cord

  • Macrame hemp cord

  • One central green stone bead

  • Two jasper stone beads

Dimensions

  • Pendant diameter: 2 inches

  • Sits over heart

  • Lightweight fiber construction

Symbolism

The circle represents continuity and perception without beginning or end.

The central green stone holds the focal point. Green is often associated with balance, growth, and the space between heart and mind.

The jasper beads act as grounding elements, stabilizing the composition and anchoring it to the physical world.

The horizontal line across the center suggests orientation, direction, and the act of seeing clearly.

The downward knotted cord extends that awareness into the body, bringing thought into form.
