Chaos Confined is a one-of-a-kind freeform crochet purse built over approximately 30 hours using an additive, sculptural process. Each spiral was crocheted separately, pinned to a form, and then joined together, allowing disorder to exist before being intentionally shaped. The saturated colors and swirling motifs represent emotional and creative chaos held within a functional vessel. A handmade eight-strand Kumihimo braided drawstring, brass bells, and red Indian trade beads introduce movement, sound, and ritual symbolism. The purse is fully lined with colorful cotton and includes an inner pocket.
