The Child Within Broken Heart Fiber Art | Kristi Yapp Wool Alchemist

$255.00

I am the child that remained whole.

Within the fractured outer heart, I continue to live — untouched by corruption, untouched by fear. Around me, the larger heart carries the marks of life: scars, pressure, distortion, and memory. Yet I endure at the center, steady and alive.

Color surrounds me because healing is always in motion. Light moves inward. What was once broken transforms. I am the quiet truth beneath all experience — the spirit that survives.

I created The Child Within as a reflection of the unbroken core that lives inside every human being. The small red heart represents the original self — pure, whole, and untouched by the damage that life can inflict. It rests within a larger heart that is scarred, twisted, and shaped by experience.

This piece explores resilience and transformation. The outer heart holds trauma and memory, yet around the inner child there is movement, color, and light. Healing continues even within fracture.

The Child Within speaks to survival, restoration, and the truth that the deepest part of us is never destroyed — only buried beneath experience, waiting to be rediscovered.
