Crescent Gate - Freeform Crochet Dreamcatcher
Crescent Gate is a protective dreamcatcher built around a hand-dyed blue wool crescent moon. The moon’s curve is stitched with circular windows. They are windows that allow good spirits into a room, while harmful energies are denied entry.
Suspended at the center of the main circle is a sculptural glass bead marked with watchful eyes. This bead acts as a sentinel, observing what moves unseen and holding malevolent entities at bay.
Below the crescent, a blue ceramic Endless Knot represents interconnectedness and the interweaving of life, time, and spirit. There is no beginning and no end.
