I am formed from wool and fiber, shaped by hand and held in place through thread. I carry light in a way that can be worn close to the body.
A second sun moves through me, carried lower, drawing that light down through you. I create a path from sight into the heart and into the body.
When the world feels uncertain, I remain steady. I rise with you and stay with you. I hold what is real and true.

I created Sol as part of my Third Eye Series.
This piece is built around a yellow African trade bead, held in a circular field of crocheted wool and sari silk.
The cord is macrame hemp with yellow and blue trade beads. A second sun appears in the tassel bead, carried lower in the body.
Designed to sit over the heart, this amulet connects sight with feeling. In my darkest days, the sun continued to rise and shine light on what is real and true.
