Earth Bloom is about strength. On the coldest winter days, there are seeds living deep in the soil. They survive the freeze, and then, when days turn warmer, they bloom. I built the structure from dense, earthy brown alpaca and Icelandic wool. These fibers create a fabric that is durable, thin and warm. Then I added color. It erupts naturally from the crown.
The bloom is intentionally expressive, made from sheep’s locks, merino, and silk. The bright colors appear to move and glow against the brown background. This piece feels ancient and alive at the same time. It is rooted, resilient, and blooming.
