Ladybug Garden Pendant (2024)
I am a small garden held in a circle. A place where a single ladybug rests among threads of color and intention. I carry protection and quiet direction. I hang close to the body as a reminder that guidance can come from even the tiniest forms of life.
⸻
Description From the Artist
I created Ladybug Garden Pendant in 2024 as a 1.5 inch contained landscape built from crocheted and embroidered hand dyed wool. The central ladybug rests within a textured garden formed through layered fiber work.
Around the circle, I added crocheted wire and glass seed beads to create structure and definition. At the base, a pendulum extends the piece downward, made with blood jasper, hematite, and a glass evil eye bead.
This piece reflects the idea that guidance can come from even the tiniest forms of life.
