In this practical, beginner-friendly workshop, artist and business owner Kristi Yapp introduces ChatGPT as a supportive tool for organization, productivity, marketing, and creative development. Designed for small business owners and creatives, this session focuses on how to use AI thoughtfully and effectively in real-world situations.
Participants will learn how to use ChatGPT to organize ideas, streamline workflow, support marketing efforts, and assist in developing original content while maintaining their own voice and creative integrity. The creative portion of the workshop emphasizes using AI as an assistive partner for generating new ideas and shaping personal expression rather than reproducing the work of others. The session will also address how to streamline writing while preserving individual voice and authenticity.
Kristi brings practical experience as a working artist, professional data annotator, and AI evaluator who has used ChatGPT extensively to build her website, expand her social media presence, and manage the communication and structure of her art business.
Participants should bring a laptop, smartphone, or tablet with the free version of ChatGPT installed. Kristi will be at the Carnegie Center 30 minutes before the workshop to assist anyone who needs help setting up or accessing the app.
