Join Wool Alchemist Kristi Yapp for a hands-on Wet Felted Witch Hat Workshop on saturday, October 17, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at The Carnegie Center in Rensselaer, Indiana.
Hosted by The Prairie Arts Council, this immersive class will introduce participants to the ancient art of wet felting, a textile-making technique that has been practiced for thousands of years. Using hand-dyed and processed sheep’s wool, you will create your own one-of-a-kind witch hat from raw fiber to finished piece.
No two hats will be alike. Participants will learn how wool fibers transform through water, soap, and agitation into a durable textile while shaping a unique wearable work of art. Whether you are new to felting or have previous fiber art experience, this workshop offers a fun and creative opportunity to explore an age-old craft.
This is a longer workshop, so participants are welcome to bring a snack and a beverage to enjoy during class.
