Say good morning to my yard’s first baby wild lettuce of the year. This tiny rosette will grow into a tall stalk with deeply lobed medicinal leaves. Wild lettuce has been traditionally used as a mild herbal pain reliever and natural sleep support plant. The bitter leaves and milky latex have long been prepared as tea or tincture in folk herbal practice. I am excited to watch this little one grow.
