The Artist

I make art because I am not capable of doing much else. Once I let go of the idea that I was required to choose a narrative, and align myself with the thought mandates of said narrative, I became free. Yet, that freedom has made it difficult to function as if I were a part of the greater society. Society demands that we choose a side.

So, I made my own refuge. I put myself in a peaceful place, away from the noise of the ideological wars. In this place, I express myself through my hands. Through the internet, I send images of my thought and emotion out into the world.

And that is enough. I was given certain gifts. I use them to say what I believe. Whether or not others hear my voice is really not up to me. I am responsible for my journey and you are responsible for your own.

It is in my solitude that I have found my strength.
