Risen | Mixed Fiber Freeform Crochet Wall Art

There was a moment when time stopped behaving.

Days blurred together.

The world lost its rhythm.

Everything went quiet.

And then, the sun rose.

I built Risen slowly, one stitch at a time. With my yarn and my hook, the process itself became part of the work. There was no rush and no shortcut. Each stitch held its place. Each layer built upon the last.

Layers formed.

Time passed.

Order returned.

The act of making became a way of marking time again. Not by clocks or schedules, but by repetition, by attention, by staying present with the materials in my hands. In a period when so much felt unstable, the physical act of building something slowly became grounding.

I created Risen in 2023 as a reflection on fractured time, personal loss, and the cycles that endure regardless of human chaos. While the human world feels unpredictable, nature continues without interruption. The sun rises. Seasons turn. Growth returns after stillness.

No matter what happens, nature remains constant.

Risen is a mixed fiber freeform crochet wall artwork measuring 18 × 22 inches. It is one of a kind and was created entirely by hand.
